There is now a large Trump literature that tells this story and nails this irredemiable aspect of him – from the late Wayne Barrett in the Village Voice in the 1970s, on to writers such as Sarah Kendzior (her books and Substack newsletter), and Sidney Blumenthal in his recent Guardian columns. Why isn't this better understood?
