I'm always struck by the lack of imagination, or sense of privilege, or complacency, or a combination of all three, in the certainty of those arguing for disapplication of human rights that presumes they could never be impacted by such action.
Or unless I have missed it, that the new law does not seem to address the refoulement of a Rwandan person seeking asylum in the UK back to Rwanda. Or indeed a Congolese person who may have fought or fled the Rwandan backed insurgency in the DR of the Congo.
Perhaps the best balance to pesky human rights lawyers gaming the system is well resourced human rights courts
