Christmas Appeal
Please help this blog continue into 2026
Later I am publishing a post - a guided tour - of President Donald Trump’s 33-page law suit against the British Broadcasting Association.
I am worried that I will have to put a paywall on it.
This blog has over ten thousand subscribers, but only a few hundred few paying subscribers.
This blog carries no advertising, and so it is providing content to thousands of people for no return.
It is becoming less easy over time to justify spending time and effort on it - especially with ‘close reading'“ and “guided tour” posts, as the opportunity cost is high. Not just the writing, but the research and so on to make sure each substantial post is worth writing - and worth reading.
A decent blogpost takes time and peace and space to prepare.
I want this blog to continue serving the public good of promoting the wider understanding of law.
I should be thereby be grateful if free subscribers would consider taking out a paid subscription.
This will enable me to comment and explain regularly on law and policy matters from a constitutionalist perspective, which may now be necessary more than most times.
Thank you. Think of it as a Christmas (or Winterval) present.

ps I will from time-to-time do “treat” posts only for paid-for subscribers - and so that is another reason to take out a paid subscription.

A paid subscription is worth every penny.
Why?
Because DAG's posts are top notch and first rate - for people with legal knowledge, and for people with little or no legal knowledge.
Lawyers are often hugely complimentary about DAG's posts, which is a good indication of the quality of DAG's writing.
Subscription upgraded today - Thank you for your excellent work it is very much appreciated
