The US Government is paying El Salvador to house its deportees for 6 million dollars a year, correct? Has anyone looked at the contract? So,my question is: what type of control does this give the US Government to say, if it wanted to…we are canceling our contract with you? Let’s say that by magic, the entire administration disappeared. What then? What would happen to the people whose ‘room and board’ in CECOT had been paid by the government? Are these people then ‘owned’ by El Salvador?
